Framing Day 105 - More finalization

This is a range of pictures taken over the 4th, 5th and 6th of September.

All completed. I honestly do not remember what we'd asked for here (colour wise and if it's meant to be tiled).

The sub-board revealed.

Almost completed.

Galley completed. Space reserved for a second 60cm under bench oven.

Galley completed.

Walk in pantry. The bottom shelf still needs to be lifted 5-7cm. I'd specifically had it set to 500mm, not the normal 450mm. An easy fix.

The dwarf door leading to under the stairwell. Aka wine cellar!

The network hub termination points. A cabinet will be placed there.

The powder room looks complete.

Terrace almost finished.

Not sure if the two drainage points have been finished. Will have to make sure the render does not stain over time. The dwarf wall will help, as the amount of rain entering the terrace will be minimal.

We have a gas meter! Although, for the 500Mj, I'd expected it to be bigger.

I think the facade is complete.

The rain head and a sensor light (which I don't remember asking for).

Termite Protection.

Framing Day 61 - Stairs in, Cabinetry In, Doors on!

It did not take long for the stairs to be put into place! The cabinetry was also put in.

The only change we made post site start, was to have the laundry door hung the other way (a zero cost variation). Our Site Supervisor was ok with this. Needless to say, the door was hung the wrong way. The door frame is made in the factory (they do not do it on site), and despite the many assurances to the contrary, it was hung the wrong way. I informed David, and I got "Oh No! You're kidding me!" Nope.

The missing panel was damaged and PD picked it up, and ordered a new one.

Now that's a galley sink! The AFA-768!

Not quite like the world of style.

A view of the dwarf door under the stairwell.

The door was still hung the wrong way.

The lounge has been walled in to make a theatre room. We've made a feature of the plumbing stack.

We have front doors!

I love that stairwell!

And it's detail.

The view from the terrace.

Showing the three coats of render.

Why is this not finished flush, why around the corner?

Framing Day 41 - Lots of progress.

It had been a week since we'd visited the site, and my boys were very happy to watch the progress made.

Lots of progress had been made, across multiple areas.

The major gas line into the house has been done.

I'd specifically asked for this to be square.

The view from the Spa.

Plumbing has been done.

Probably the worst job I've seen.

Drawf wall being waterproofed.

The dwarf wall has been removed and pillars repaired.

Where the linea boards will go.

We have a chimney!
